The technical and engineering staff of the Iraqi Drilling Company completed the drilling of an oil well in the East Baghdad South field, to a depth of 3,987 meters. The company explained that the drilling operation was carried out using the horizontal drilling method at an inclination angle of (90.12) degrees. The company indicated that this achievement comes within the contract concluded with the Chinese company EBS, which includes the drilling of 18 oil wells, in cooperation with the COSL Oil Services Company.
