Offshore staff
IJMUIDEN, the Netherlands — Exxon Mobil’s Liza Field offshore Guyana is employing a deepwater, high-pressure thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) jumper for water alternating gas (WAG) injection.
The jumper, incorporating carbon fiber and polyamide12 materials, underwent a leak test subsea prior to completion of the installation in a water depth of more than 1,700 m.
Strohm will supply a further 50 WAG TCP jumpers for the Uaru and Yellowtail developments in the same offshore Stabroek Block.
The company will deliver the consignment via its "Jumpers on Demand" approach, in which a single length of pipe is supplied on a single reel to the offshore location, spooled off to the required jumper length, then cut, terminated, tested and mated with a connector system.
Strohm’s new Field Service Group also has a service contract to support onsite termination operations in Guyana and to manage the termination scopes of work pre-first oil at Yellowtail.
