Shell increased its working interest in the Atapu and Mero pre-salt oil and gas units in the Santos Basin offshore Brazil. Atapu and Mero are deepwater developments located in water depths exceeding 2,000 m.

The company will hold about 16.917% in Atapu and 20% in Mero, supporting its role in planning and executing exploration drilling, appraisal wells and future development wells across both units.
