Magnolia spent approximately $40 million across multiple transactions in Giddings in late June and early July, the company reported after markets closed July 30. The deals add around 500 boe/d (35% oil, 68~ liquids) of low decline production.
The deals grow Magnolia’s core Giddings development area by 20% to approximately 240,000 net acres. The company’s entire Giddings leasehold spans 550,000 net acres.
