据路透社报道，墨西哥国家石油公司 Pemex 已同意将其位于墨西哥湾的 Lakach 深水天然气项目的控制权移交给 Grupo Carso。

MEXICO CITY – Mexican state oil firm Pemex has agreed to hand over control of its Lakach deepwater natural gas project in the Gulf of Mexico to Grupo Carso, according to a Reuters report. 

Reuters cited an article in the Colombia-based El Heraldo newspaper as the source of the report. 

Grupo Carso is owned by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim. Two sources had told Reuters in March that Pemex and Slim’s team were in talks over reviving the development of the Lakach field, which would be Mexico’s first deepwater natural gas field. Field development plans for Lakach have been shelved twice before.

The sources said Pemex considered finding a new partner a top priority to boost the field, hailed as a potential gateway to a new deepwater Mexican gas frontier, after US liquefied natural gas company New Fortress Energy pulled of the project out last year.
