(WO) — MOL Pakistan has announced three new gas discoveries in the TAL Block through the Razgir-1 exploratory well. Drilled to a depth of 3,950 meters, the well successfully tested three separate geological formations, marking a key milestone for the company, which has been operating in the region for 25 years.

The Razgir-1 well was spudded in January 2024 and completed ahead of schedule. Testing operations are ongoing to determine the full potential of the well. The discoveries include gas and condensate in three reservoirs: the Lumshiwal-1 Formation tested approximately 3,800 boepd, the Kawagarh Formation about 3,000 boepd, and the Lockhart Formation around 3,500 boepd.

MOL's share of production from these discoveries is expected to range between 400 to 800 boepd, potentially adding 1% to the Group’s total hydrocarbon production.
