The Government of the Russian Federation signed with Rosgeologiya, Bashneftegeofizika and the Marine Arctic Geological Exploration Expedition (MAGE) a roadmap for the development of domestic equipment for geological exploration, an Interfax correspondent reported from the signing ceremony.
On the part of the government, the document was signed by First Deputy Minister of Energy Pavel Sorokin and Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Mikhail Ivanov.
“I am confident that this will become the basis for in the near future our industrial enterprises, as well as our ministries and departments, together, as a team, to solve the task that the President of the Russian Federation set for us. And this will give us an additional impetus for the development of our industry, our geological exploration,” Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said during the ceremony.
The “road map”, designed until 2030, includes 27 areas, of which 14 are supervised by Rosgeologia, six are supervised by Bashneftegeofizika (MOEX: BNGF) and seven by MAGE. It is expected that a comfortable regulatory environment will be created to implement the program’s activities, and tax incentives and financial support will be provided.
This is the third “road map” for the development of domestic oilfield service equipment. Previously, similar documents were signed on equipment for drilling and onshore production, as well as on equipment for the petrochemical industry.
“Rosgeologiya” is a state holding uniting more than 40 geological enterprises operating in the regions of Russia and abroad. Carrying out all types of geological exploration work (from regional studies for all types of minerals to calculating reserves and commissioning deposits), has unique competencies in the field of marine geology and work on the shelf.
MAGE dates back to the early 1970s and specializes in studying the structure of shelf seas, transit and coastal zones of the Arctic and the World Ocean. The company has a fleet of seven scientific vessels at its disposal.
The Bashneftegeofizika group of companies unites geophysical service and instrument making enterprises. Provides subsoil users with a full cycle of oil and gas services, develops and produces a wide range of geophysical equipment, equipment and special equipment.
