挪威奥斯陆——挪威近海管理局(NOD) 已签署一份谅解备忘录，与格陵兰岛和丹麦合作获取海底矿物的新数据。

其他参与方包括格陵兰自然资源研究所和 GEUS（丹麦和格陵兰地质调查局）。

NOD已向北欧部长理事会申请为该项目提供资金，指定为“北极地区深海矿物负责任采购知识中心”，并希望在今年夏天之前收到答复。

目标是通过联合工作会议和讨论，在三个国家建立有关海底矿物活动的知识库。

Offshore staff

OSLO, Norway — The Norwegian Offshore Directorate (NOD) has entered a memorandum of understanding to collaborate with Greenland and Denmark on acquiring new data on seabed minerals.

Other parties involved are the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources and GEUS (Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland).

The NOD has applied to the Nordic Council of Ministers for funding for the project, designated the “Knowledge Centre for Responsible Sourcing of Deep-sea Minerals in the Arctic Region” and hopes to receive a response before this summer.

The goal is to build a knowledge base in the three countries concerning mineral activity on the seabed via joint working meetings and discussions.
