ANK Bashneft, which is part of the Rosneft structure, increased the volume of production drilling in the Volga Federal District by 5% at the end of 2023. The share of horizontal wells, which significantly increase the efficiency of development of mature fields, was 88%. In total, 238 wells were drilled at Bashneft fields over the past year.
Rosneft is consistently implementing a program to increase production efficiency at mature fields through the introduction of advanced well drilling technologies and the use of a range of geological and technical measures. Accelerated technological development in all areas of activity is one of the key directions of the Company’s comprehensive development strategy until 2030.
In 2023, Bashneft-Dobycha increased its production and exploration drilling progress by 7%, reaching 411.5 thousand meters. The systemic increase in drilling efficiency indicators was a consequence of the target program implemented at the enterprise.
Also, thanks to the optimization of equipment operating modes, a record for the speed of drilling a horizontal well in the Republic of Bashkortostan was achieved: a well with a depth of 1,418 meters and a horizontal section of 304 meters was drilled at the Arlanskoye field in just 13 days.
The majority of drilling operations are provided by the corporate drilling service company RN-Burenie, which is one of the key factors of import independence, as well as maintaining the energy security of the region and the country.
