The C3291 operation team of the CNPC Well Logging Tianjin Branch successfully completed the phased bridge shooting construction in the Jishen block in Shanxi using an electric sealing tool. This was also the 21st well and 165th section of "fire removal" sealing operation implemented by the branch.
The setting operation refers to the method of setting the packer on the casing wall, isolating the annular fluid above and below the packer, and forming a sealing method with different pressure systems. Compared with the traditional blasting and pressurizing setting method of pyrotechnics, the electric setting tool uses electricity to drive the tool rod to perform mechanical movement, thereby achieving the close contact of the packer to the casing wall. This type of tool does not require maintenance or disassembly before use. During use, it can display the changes of parameters such as current, voltage, tension, and stroke in real time. It can also realize functions such as "one-button reset" and self-diagnosis, saving on-site programming and ground pressure relief time, and greatly reducing the labor intensity of construction personnel.
The engineering and technical team also optimized the internal pin insulation shell and connection structure based on the working current and stroke characteristics of the core components, and tailored the sealing operation process to achieve the "three zero" emissions of waste gas, waste residue, and waste liquid, which can fully meet the "fire removal" process transformation and environmental protection requirements. It is understood that since the application of this technology, PetroChina Well Logging Tianjin Branch has implemented 20 wells and more than 160 sections of sealing tasks for oil and gas field companies such as Dagang and Shanxi, realizing the large-scale application of "electricity instead of fire" green sealing tools.
