A hydrogen drilling facility in Nebraska.
A new report from Geoscience Australia, in collaboration with the Geological Survey of New South Wales, has revealed elevated levels of natural hydrogen and helium at various rural and geological formations across New South Wales (NSW). These findings represent a significant opportunity for Australia, as the country is considered one of the most prospective locations for natural hydrogen because of its ancient geology.
United H2 Limited's investee company, Voyager H2, is actively pursuing exploration licences in NSW to capitalise on this exciting potential, including its applications in clean energy production, carbon-free transport, and reducing carbon emissions across heavy industries.

The report provides Australian explorers with geological information and a comprehensive methodology for testing soil gas samples for natural hydrogen, bringing scientific rigour to this emerging field.
United H2 Limited is delighted to see governments recognising natural hydrogen but hopes they will work to cut red tape to get projects underway.
