Shell spudded the Falcao-1 exploration well in Block 10 offshore São Tomé and Príncipe. The Stena DrillMAX drillship arrived on location on 11 October.

The well is scheduled for completion before the end of 2025. Once operations in São Tomé are wrapped up, the rig will return to Suriname for another Shell-operated well.
