The Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) has carried out an audit of Archer and OKEA and their planning and execution of drilling operations on the Brage field.

The audit was conducted from 17 to 21 March 2025.

Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that OKEA and Archer are complying with the regulatory requirements and internal requirements in respect of the planning and execution of ERD (extended range drilling) and well operations on the Brage field.

Result
We identified seven non-conformities during the audit. These concerned:

Storage and handling of explosives
Storage and handling of radioactive sources
Maintenance of central systems for safe drilling operations
Training and exercises
Design and labelling
Functional testing of BOP booster
One of the non-conformities is exempt from public disclosure.> What happens next?
We have asked the companies to report to us by 5 September 2025 on how the non-conformities will be addressed.
