Q&M Fields
Agogo

Block 32
Kaminho

如需赞助或作为代表参加,请联系 sales@energycapitalpower.com。

Angola Advances 2025-2028 Project Pipeline with Global Expertise

Source: www.gulfoilandgas.com 2/28/2025, Location: Africa

Global service and technology providers are playing a central role in supporting Angolan exploration and production efforts. From seismic acquisition and reprocessing to oilfield maintenance and installation works to innovative technology and infrastructure assembly, recent contracts signal a positive outlook for Angola’s 2025-2028 project pipeline.

Seismic Reprocessing: Block 16
Angola has several exploration and production projects on the horizon, all of which are supported by renowned service providers. Global energy data and intelligence company TGS recently completed the reprocessing of the Block 16 GeoStreamer MC3D seismic dataset in Angola’s Lower Congo Basin. The 3,684 km² dataset offers enhanced imaging that enables detailed evaluation of deeper target plays, thereby supporting exploration at the block.

New Gas Consortium: Q&M Fields
Angola’s first non-associated gas project – featuring the Quiluma and Maboqueiro fields and developed by the New Gas Consortium – is on track for completion six months ahead of schedule. The offshore platforms were completed in February 2025 and the Quiluma deck has sailed away for the project site. Saipem7 led the EPC activities and is also tasked with the hook-up and commissioning of the Quiluma platform and relevant onshore processing plant. The fabrication work was completed by Petromar.

Agogo Integrated West Hub Development: Block 15/06
The Agogo FPSO is set to start production at Angola’s Block 15/06 in late-2025 following its completion this month in China. The vessel joins the operational Ngoma FPSO at the Agogo integrated West Hub Development project. Global service provider Yinson was responsible for the FPSO unit and field maintenance services; Baker Hughes supplied the Subsea Production System and Aftermarket Services; Aker Solutions supplied the Umbilical System; and Saipem – now Saipem7 – provided Rigid Flowlines and Subsea Structure Transportation and Installation. The Agogo vessel was completed six months ahead of schedule.

Seismic Acquisition: Block 32
Energy major TotalEnergies has enlisted marine geoscience firm Shearwater Geoservices to conduct a deepwater ocean-bottom node survey in Angola’s Block 32. The contract started in January 2025 and runs for two and half months, covering the Louro and Mostarda fields. Block 32 holds the Kaombo project.

Kaminho Deepwater Development: Block 20/11
The Kaminho deepwater development in Block 20/11 is advancing toward a 2028 start-up following FID made in 2024. The $6 billion project comprises the Cameia and Golfinho fields and will produce 70,000 bpd. Siemens Energy is developing an 80 MW power generation plant for the project; Baker Hughes is supplying advanced compression solutions for Saipem7; Vallourec is supplying 5,000 tons of oil country tubular goods and associated services; while SLB OneSubsea is providing subsea production equipment and services – including a 13-well subsea production system.

With a planned $60 billion upstream investment drive underway, Angola is promoting greater collaboration across the industry, and platforms such as the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) conference play a central role in fostering partnerships. Returning for its sixth edition from September 3-4, 2025, in Luanda, AOG has long-served as the premier dealmaking platform in Angola. Every edition has included a strong service provider focus, with technical presentations, panel discussions and roundtable forums showcasing global expertise in Angola’s oil and gas industry.

AOG is the largest oil and gas event in Angola. Taking place with the full support of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas; the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency; the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute; national oil company Sonangol; and the African Energy Chamber; the event is a platform to sign deals and advance Angola’s oil and gas industry.
