Roystonea-1 井距离苏里南海岸 185 公里，水深 904 m，钻深 5,315 m。它穿透了各种含油坎帕尼亚砂岩油藏包。

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Petronas, in partnership with Exxon Mobil, has discovered oil in the deepwater Roystonea prospect in Block 52 offshore Suriname.
The Roystonea-1 well was drilled 185 km from the Surinamese coast in a water depth of 904 m and to a TD of 5,315 m. It penetrated various oil-bearing Campanian sandstone reservoir packages.
Petronas plans to assess the results to determine the size of the reservoir and potential synergies for a development with the Sloanea-1 discovery, made on the same block in 2020.
Suriname’s state oil company Staatsolie said the discovery confirms the potential of the Suriname-Guyana basin, while for Petronas the result should serve as an incentive for further exploration.
In addition to Block 52, Petronas Suriname E&P operates Block 48 with a 100% interest and has a 30% participating interest in the adjacent Block 53, containing the 2022 oil discovery Baja-1 oil discovery.
