The technical and engineering personnel of the Iraqi Drilling Company completed the drilling of the EBS-68 oil well within the contract concluded with the Chinese Zhenhua Company to drill 27 oil wells in a field east of Baghdad in cooperation with Kosel Oil Services Company.
Drilling operations were carried out using the IDC-36 drilling rig, with a capacity of 1,500 horsepower, using a horizontal drilling method at an angle of inclination of 90 degrees and a depth of 3,548 meters. It is the fifteenth well completed by the company within this project.
