Evgeny Danilov:

Tatneft and Innopolis University: Digitize Field Development Monitoring

Tatneft and Innopolis University for the first time in Russia will implement a comprehensive artificial intelligence platform for geological and technological monitoring of field development.

Financing is carried out within the framework of the federal project “Digital Technologies” of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”.

Tatneft launched the project “Integrated Digital Platform for Geological and Technological Monitoring of Oil Field Development”. As a result, it is planned to create a unique digital ecosystem, connect the technological and business processes involved in monitoring the development of oil fields, automate and increase their efficiency through the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies. The project is being implemented with the support of the Russian Foundation for the Development of Information Technologies, which is part of the state development corporation VEB.RF.

The implementation of the development will ensure the digitization of all information flows for tracking, managing, analyzing the procedures performed throughout the entire cycle of performing geophysical and hydrodynamic studies of wells.

The implementation of the platform is planned to be completed by the end of 2023.

Farid Khazipov, Project Manager – Head of the Operations Department of PJSC TATNEFT:

“The platform will reduce the Company’s costs and resources by reducing non-productive time of geophysical parties, increasing the productivity of engineering and technical personnel by automating operational functions, and reducing oil production losses by improving the efficiency of decision-making.”

Evgeny Danilov, Head of the Center for Oil and Gas Technologies at Innopolis University:

“Development of the field is a very difficult task. It includes hundreds of complex processes of various levels, the effective management of which requires digitalization through the creation and implementation of such modern and end-to-end tools as the domestic Atimer platform developed by specialists from our Center for Oil and Gas Technologies. As part of this joint venture with Tatneft, we will finalize the existing platform and put it into operation.”
