New features manage Texas Railroad Commission induced seismicity regulations

Sourcenergy built in features and capabilities into their platform to help tackle the challenges of induced seismicity and the recent Texas Railroad Commission restrictions in and around seismic response areas (SRA). Sourcenergy identifies the disposal wells affected by these new restrictions within the SRA along with details such as total amount of produced water (in barrels per day) impacted on a well by well basis. In addition, customers can see which disposals, both in and outside of the SRA, are still available to handle more produced water.

Robot made to accelerate solar construction

The AES Corp. released Atlas, a solar installation robot. Atlas represents a major advancement in solar energy technology, making it faster, more efficient and safer to construct new solar facilities. It was designed by AES through a multiyear innovation process and built in cooperation with Calvary Robotics and other third parties. AES teams will use the technology as a next generation tool in the construction of new solar projects. It will complement the workforce by keeping them safe and performing the heavy lifting, placing and attachment of solar modules while adding high-tech jobs. Electricity plays a central role in the net-zero future, and solar energy is an increasingly attractive option as one of the most cost effective and abundant renewable energy resources. The work the company is doing to reimagine solar is helping organizations meet their clean energy objectives while accelerating the net-zero future of energy.
