Crusoe Energy Systems LLC announced today a new collaboration with XCL Resources LLC to deploy Crusoe’s flare technology in Utah’s Uinta Basin.

Under an agreement with XCL, Crusoe will use its Digital Flare Mitigation technology to add 6 MMcf/d of XCL’s production in the Uinta.

Crusoe said its equipment, running at full capacity, is expected to reduce equivalent CO₂ emissions by up to 273,000 tons per year, equivalent to taking 60,000 cars off the road for a year.

The project is projected to bring more than 100 jobs consisting of both short- and long-term construction and operational employment opportunities to the basin.
