Halliburton Co. has been awarded a three-year contract from Petrobras, Brazil鈥檚 state-controlled oil company, for integrated drilling services across several offshore fields in Brazil, Halliburton said Jan. 30.
The contract, expected to begin in 2025, represents Halliburton鈥檚 largest service contract with Petrobras. Halliburton said the contract expands its drilling services footprint in the presalt and post-salt areas for both development and exploration wells.
Halliburton will provide its iCruise intelligent rotary steerable system (RSS) to reduce well time and place wells accurately and its LOGIX automation and remote operations platform to improve well construction consistency and performance, Haliburton said.
The company said it will also provide its ultra-deep resistivity service, EarthStar, to position production boreholes and map reservoirs, among other exclusive technologies.
"This contract demonstrates Halliburton鈥檚 strength in deep and ultra-deep offshore drilling and well construction," said Halliburton鈥檚 Waldomiro Mendes, senior area manager, Brazil.
