Weatherford International Plc has been selected to deliver managed pressure drilling services for the Trion deepwater project offshore Mexico, the tech company said July 28.
Trion is a joint venture between Woodside Petróleo Operaciones de México (operator, 60%) and Pemex (40%). The development is located 180 km off the coast of Tamaulipas and 30 km south of the US-Mexico maritime border.
Weatherford’s multi-year contract includes services for an initial eight wells with the potential to expand to 24 wells.
