NGL Energy Partners is expanding its Lea County Express Pipeline System with additional capacity for produced water disposal in the Delaware Basin, the company announced Jan. 22.
The expansion, known as LEX II Expansion, will bring the pipeline system from a capacity of 140,000 bbl/d of water to 340,000 bbl/d in 2024 due to the addition of disposal wells, facilities and a 27-mile, 30-inch diameter produced water pipeline.
The pipeline will transport water outside of the core of the Delaware, further growing NGL’s disposal operations and geographic footprint.
