TGS, a leading global provider of energy data and intelligence, announces the successful completion of the Sierra Leone Fusion 3D (Vision) multi-client reprocessing project.
The project consists of a full reprocessing from field tapes of a 7,476 square kilometer area through a comprehensive Pre-Stack Depth Migration sequence, utilizing advanced ML-based denoise and deghosting, adaptive demultiple and advanced depth imaging workflows, including DM-FWI, delivering clearer imaging of Upper Cretaceous plays in Sierra Leone锟絪 high-potential basin.
The project merges multiple surveys acquired by TGS between 2008 and 2014 and places strong emphasis on preserving AVO fidelity throughout the data, enabling companies to perform advanced reservoir characterization workflows and assess AVO plays with greater confidence.
锟絊ierra Leone sits within a proven yet underexplored segment of the West African Atlantic Margin, where access to consistent, high-quality seismic data is critical for informed exploration decisions,锟 said David Hajovsky, Executive Vice President, Multi-Client at TGS. 锟絋he Fusion 3D project strengthens the regional subsurface framework, enabling companies to place individual prospects into a broader geological context and evaluate opportunity with greater confidence as interest in the basin continues to build.锟
TGS adds this significantly improved seismic data in Sierra Leone锟絪 offshore basins to its portfolio of industry-leading multi-client seismic data in Africa. This project furthers TGS锟 commitment to advancing resource development and hydrocarbon exploration in Africa. With TGS as an exploration partner, operators can successfully evaluate opportunities in Sierra Leone and beyond.
