PPG 8 月 21 日宣布,其新型 PPG Pitt-Therm 909 喷涂绝缘 (SOI) 涂层可保护资产、提高安全性并提高石油和天然气、化工和石化等关键基础设施行业的运营效率。

该硅基涂层专为高温环境而设计,比传统的水性丙烯酸或环氧基 SOI 涂层具有更高的耐高温性。PPG Pitt-Therm 909 的应用测试也需要更少的涂层才能达到与传统 SOI 涂层一样的效果。

PPG Pitt-Therm 909 涂层解决了传统机械绝缘系统面临的挑战,特别是易受吸湿和绝缘下腐蚀的影响。该涂层的防水性能表现出耐腐蚀性,可降低维护成本、减少停工和安全事故。

PPG’s Insulation Coating Offers Oil, Gas Asset Protection in High Heat

PPG’s new PPG Pitt-Therm 909 spray-on insulation (SOI) coating protects assets, promotes safety and increases operational efficiency in critical infrastructure industries such as oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical, the company announced Aug. 21.

Designed for high heat environments, the silicone-based coating offers greater temperature resistance than conventional waterborne acrylic or epoxy-based SOI coatings. Application testing of PPG Pitt-Therm 909 also requires fewer coats to be just as effective as traditional SOI coatings.

PPG Pitt-Therm 909 coating addresses traditional mechanical insulation system challenges, specifically susceptibility to moisture absorption and corrosion under insulation. The coating’s water-repellent capabilities demonstrate corrosion resistance to reduce maintenance costs, operational shutdowns and safety incidents.

Application to both hot and cold substrates is also viable, allowing assets to remain in service during application, an advantage over traditional methods requiring operational shutdowns.
