The technical and engineering staff of the Iraqi Drilling Company completed the drilling and rehabilitation of 16 oil wells in February 2026 for national and international companies operating in Iraq. The work included drilling three new wells and rehabilitating 13 existing wells, as part of operational plans aimed at supporting and increasing production capacity.
The company's Director General, Mr. Mohammed Hantoush, stated that this achievement reflects the staff's commitment to the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Engineer Hayyan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad. He emphasized that the company is proceeding with its operational plans according to a clear vision aimed at maximizing revenues and improving equipment efficiency. He stressed the importance of continuing to work as a unified team to achieve even greater results in the coming months, thereby enhancing production capacity and supporting the national economy.
The drilling and rehabilitation operations were carried out according to approved technical programs, utilizing specialized national expertise and adhering to quality and occupational safety standards, thus enhancing performance efficiency and ensuring the continuity of operations.
