Odfjell Drilling received confirmation from Aker BP that its contract for the semisubmersible Deepsea Nordkapp will be extended by one year, pushing the committed backlog through to the end of 2027.
The operating rate for the extension will be set by the end of 2025 and defined by two independent rig brokers to reflect current market levels. The rig has been on contract to Aker BP since its delivery in 2019 under the Semi Alliance.
