NesmaKent Energy Company (NKJV), a pioneering joint venture between Nesma & Partners (N&P) and Kent, has signed a strategic contract with Aramco to lead the commencement of phase one of the National EPC Champion Initiative. This milestone marks the commencement of the first Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract, reinforcing NesmaKent鈥檚 role as a key partner in advancing Saudi Arabia鈥檚 energy infrastructure.

The inaugural seed project under this agreement focuses on enhancing water handling facilities in the South Ghawar Area, a critical initiative aligned with Aramco鈥檚 long-term corporate strategy to sustain crude oil production and meet Maximum Sustainable Capacity (MSC) targets. NesmaKent鈥檚 expertise in EPCM services, advanced execution technologies, and operational efficiency will play a crucial role in optimizing the project's success while ensuring minimal operational disruptions.
Aramco鈥檚 National EPC Champion Program was launched to support a growing, sustainable national economy by creating jobs and contributing to the Kingdom鈥檚 GDP. NesmaKent Energy integrates local expertise with global engineering standards, positioning itself as a key driver of transformation in Saudi Arabia鈥檚 EPC landscape. Through this initiative, NesmaKent will bring significant value to the project by:
- Streamlining the transition from DBSP, to FEED 鈥 The signed project contract framework, paves the way for a seamless transition from the Design Basis Scoping Paper to the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) stage. This integration should reduce traditional bidding periods and enable early planning and execution of critical activities. This approach enhances scheduling efficiency and accelerates project delivery.
- Enhancing operational excellence & risk management 鈥 By implementing integrated risk solutions, enhanced communication strategies, and effective contract management, NesmaKent ensures improved interface management, consistent accountability, and overall project efficiency.
- Accelerating knowledge transfer & national workforce development 鈥 NesmaKent is committed to capability building and workforce development, offering comprehensive training programs and knowledge transfer initiatives to advance Saudization and in-Kingdom value addition (IKVA).
- Deploying advanced execution technologies 鈥 Leveraging cutting-edge digital solutions to enhance the execution over the project life cycle, optimise resources, and improve overall performance, ensuring adherence to international best practices.
- Advancing sustainability solutions 鈥 Supporting sustainability initiatives, renewable energy ventures, and responsible resource management to align with Saudi Vision 2030鈥檚 environmental sustainability goals.
- Boosting supply chain efficiency & regional expansion 鈥 Strengthening the local supply chain and in-Kingdom value addition by integrating regional capabilities and fostering economic diversification within Saudi Arabia鈥檚 industrial sector.
By adopting these innovative strategies and forward-thinking execution models, NesmaKent is setting new benchmarks in EPCM services and strengthening Saudi Arabia鈥檚 position as a leader in global energy infrastructure development.
鈥淥ur partnership with Aramco under the National EPC Champion Program reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability,鈥 said Ahmad Hamadah, the General Manager at NesmaKent. 鈥淲ith a combination of local market knowledge and world-class engineering expertise, we are not only delivering projects but actively shaping the future of Saudi Arabia鈥檚 energy sector.鈥
This landmark contract reaffirms NesmaKent Energy鈥檚 leadership in integrated EPCM services, further solidifying its role as a trusted partner in advancing industrial excellence, sustainability, and technological innovation in the Kingdom and beyond.
