LibertyStream Infrastructure Partners secured $700,000, backed by North Dakota, to fund a portion of its commercial lithium carbonate refining unit.
LibertyStream Infrastructure Partners Inc. was awarded a $700,000 grant to fund a portion of its commercial lithium carbonate refining unit, according to an Aug. 11 press release.
The refining unit will be deployed at LibertyStream’s facility in Texas, with plans to relocate it to North Dakota upon completion of a commercial direct lithium extraction (DLE) facility in the Williston Basin.
The unit, which is backed by North Dakota state, can produce up to 10 tonnes per annum (tpa) of industrial grade and battery grade lithium carbonate.
