GD Energy Products launches next-generation High Flow Series frac pumps

October 30, 2025

GD Energy Products (GDEP) has introduced its High Flow (HF) Series, a new line of frac pumps designed to improve operational efficiency and extend component life across a range of power applications.

The HF Series, which includes the GD 5000HF and GD 3600HF models, is built on a modular platform to support different drivers while maintaining standardized service components. The GD 5000HF, rated at 5,000 horsepower with an 11.232:1 gearbox ratio, is designed for turbine direct drives and electric motors. The GD 3600HF, rated at 3,600 horsepower with a 7.525:1 ratio, is optimized for natural gas and dual-fuel engines operating at lower RPMs.

According to the company, the 11-inch stroke design enables each pump to deliver up to 37% more fluid per revolution than shorter-stroke models, allowing operators to achieve target output with fewer pump revolutions. Both configurations are engineered to deliver full available horsepower to the well.

The HF Series’ configurable gearbox ratios align pump speed with driver torque and RPM, improving energy transfer efficiency and reducing vibration to extend service life. Each unit incorporates modular features—including a removable gearbox, bolt-on stuffing box, and reversible crosshead housing—to simplify maintenance and reduce downtime.

The pumps are also up to 4,000 pounds lighter and more compact than comparable models, potentially improving transport efficiency and fuel economy. The design allows direct integration into existing frac fleets without major trailer or plumbing modifications.

Alex Flores, vice president of product management at GDEP, said the new series was developed in response to operator demand for higher flow capacity and improved efficiency across diverse power systems.
