The Iraqi Drilling Company announced that it has received the highest safety rating for the year 2024 among local and international companies operating in the Majnoon oil field. This achievement came during the honoring ceremony organized by the Majnoon Oil Field Operating Authority, represented by the Basra Oil Company and the Chinese company ANTON.
The company said that this honor comes in appreciation of the distinguished efforts made by the IDC 57 drilling rig staff, for their strict commitment to safety procedures and their exceptional achievement of passing a full year without recording any accidents or work injuries.
It is noteworthy that the IDC 57 drilling rig is the only rig in Iraq that operates with a horsepower of up to 3000 horsepower, and is currently continuing to complete drilling operations for the first appraisal well completed by the company in the Majnoon oil field, which highlights its high technical efficiency and its prominent role in developing the Iraqi oil sector.
