Oil Exploration Company (OEC) held a meeting with the Chinese Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation, Iraq Branch, in the presence of Head of Field Operation Division, Mr. Haider Hadi Abboud, and the Director of Geo-Jade Company, Iraq Branch, as well as representatives from Maysan Oil Company. The meeting dealt with the latest developments related to the implementation of the 2D seismic survey contract for the Hawizeh Field, which was obtained by Geo-Jade Company within the fifth licensing round. This step comes within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Oil and OEC aimed at uncovering new oil and gas reservoirs, maximizing hydrocarbon storage, and increasing production, which in turn aims at enhancing national revenues through the exploration and development of new sources of energy in Iraq.
