The petroleum industry needs to wake up to the urgent need to tackle fouling. For too long, the problem has been ignored.

COP28 lay down the gauntlet to the industry as a whole, and reminded us that decarbonisation in the oil and gas sector must be at the forefront of ongoing policy decisions. I view fouling as the neglected fix.
