新加坡- Seatrium Limited 报告称，根据 2019 年 11 月与壳牌离岸公司签订的合同，已成功交付 Whale 浮式生产装置 (FPU)，用于部署在墨西哥湾。

Seatrium 表示，已完成的 Whale FPU 包括一个上部模块和一个重达 22,000 吨的四柱半潜式浮动船体，已在预算范围内按时交付。  

Seatrium 表示，它使用总起重能力为 30,000 吨、吊钩高度为 100 米的 Goliath 双起重机将 Whale FPU 上部结构和船体集成到一台升降机中，这是该公司的一个重要里程碑。Seatrium 表示，它能够节省 200 万工时，并将船体和上部集成时间减少 30%。

Seatrium 表示，该项目在健康、安全和环境方面的国际标准得分为 96%，符合国际石油和天然气生产商协会 1 (IOGP) 577 标准以及美国海岸警卫队的法定要求。

SINGAPORE – Seatrium Limited reports the successful delivery of the Whale floating production unit (FPU) for deployment in the Gulf of Mexico, in accordance with the contract secured in November 2019 with Shell Offshore Inc.

The completed Whale FPU, which comprises a topside module and a four-column semisubmersible floating hull of over 22,000 tonnes was delivered on time and within budget, says Seatrium.  

Seatrium says that it used its Goliath twin cranes with a combined 30,000-tonne lifting capacity and a 100-meter hook height to integrate the Whale FPU topside and hull in one single lift, a major milestone for the company.  Seatrium says that it was able to save two million man-hours and bring about a 30% reduction in hull and topside integration time.

Seatrium says that the project scored 96% on international standards for health, safety, and environment and complied with the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers1 (IOGP) 577 standards as well as the US Coast Guards statutory requirements.

Whale will be the second Shell-operated deepwater development in the Gulf of Mexico to employ a simplified, cost-efficient host design. With this development approach, the company said it anticipates an internal rate of return estimated to be greater than 25%. Production is scheduled to begin in 2024.
