Eagle Natural Resources, LLC (ENR or the Company) is pleased to announce that a drilling rig has mobilized and is now on location at the Comanche Creek Prospect in Taylor County, Texas. Drilling operations have commenced on the Brown #3 well, targeting attic oil reserves in the Upper Gray Sand reservoir, utilizing MCG Drilling Company, LLC Rig #2 as the drilling contractor.
The Comanche Creek Prospect is a field re-development project located on a 285-acre held-by-production (HBP) lease in the prolific Bend Arch-Fort Worth Basin Province. The project focuses on proven reserves in an established oil and gas field discovered in 1964, with the primary target being the Upper Gray Sand part of the Pennsylvanian/Permian Fluvial-Deltaic Sandstone petroleum system.
This marks an exciting operational milestone for Eagle Natural Resources, said Jeremy Alexander Paul, CEO of Eagle Natural Resources. With MCG Drilling Company, LLC Rig #2 on location and drilling underway on the Brown #3 well, we are moving quickly to unlock the thicker pay zone in the Upper Gray Sand directly north of the producing analog well. This vertical well is designed to capture attic reserves through a comprehensive frac across the entire Upper Gray Sand interval, which is 133% thicker at this location than in the offset well.
The planned Brown #3 well (API 42-441-34718, Well #7B 3) is permitted to a total depth of approximately 5,000 feet. In addition to the primary Upper Gray Sand target, the well will evaluate multiple contingent reservoirs, including the Gardner Lime, Gray Sand, and others that have produced on the lease and adjacent acreage.
Based on the direct-offset analog (Forza 1 well), the Company anticipates strong initial production potential, with the most likely case projecting approximately 47 BOE per day in Year 1 (declining over time) and an estimated ultimate recovery (EUR) supporting attractive project economics. The prospect benefits from low-risk capital requirements and access to existing infrastructure in this mature, oil-rich basin.
Eagle Natural Resources is actively advancing its drilling and development program across targeted opportunities in Texas.
Drilling and completion activities are expected to conclude in the coming weeks, with first production targeted shortly thereafter, subject to weather and operational conditions.
