A project to build pipelines to feed Kuwait’s largest oil refinery in the Southern Al-Zour area is facing more delays although it was supposed to be delivered within 3 years after the contract was awarded in 2017, Zawya Projects reported, citing a Kuwaiti newspaper.

Kuwait oil Company (KOC), which manages the oil-rich country’s upstream sector, said in 2022 that it had imposed a fine on the contractor for the delay and that it extended a deadline for the project completion to May 2022.
