卡塔尔能源公司已与壳牌达成协议，收购位于毛里塔尼亚近海的 C-10 区块 40% 的工作权益
根据协议条款，卡塔尔能源公司将持有C-10区块勘探和生产协议中40%的工作权益。壳牌（运营商）将持有 50% 的权益，而 Societé Mauritanienne des Hydrocarbures, (SMH) 将持有 10% 的权益。

C-10区块总面积约11,500平方公里，距离毛里塔尼亚海岸约50公里，水深约50至2,000米。
该协议是在与埃克森美孚加拿大公司就加拿大纽芬兰和拉布拉多省近海两个勘探许可证达成协议之后签署的。
QatarEnergy has entered into an agreement with Shell to acquire a 40% working interest in the C-10 block located offshore Mauritania
Under the terms of the agreement, QatarEnergy will hold a 40% working interest in the Exploration and Production Agreement pertaining to the C-10 block. Shell (the operator) will hold a 50% interest, while Société Mauritanienne des Hydrocarbures, (SMH) will hold a 10% interest.
His Excellency Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, said, “We’re excited about the opportunity to participate in Mauritania’s upstream sector which further builds on our exploration footprint in Africa, and we look forward to a successful exploration programme.

The C-10 block covers a total area of approximately 11,500 sq km and is located approximately 50 km off the coast of Mauritania in water depths of approximately 50 to 2,000 m.
The agreement follows hot on the heels of an agreement with Exxon-Mobil Canada for two exploration licences offshore the province of Newfoundland & Labrador in Canada.
