乌石16-5构造平均水深约25米，其中乌石16-5-4评价井完钻深度4185米，钻遇65米厚的油层。
该井测试日产油当量超过1000立方米，有望发展成为一个中型油田。
随着这一发现，乌石油田累计探明石油地质资源量已突破1亿立方米。

CNOOC’s well was tested to produce over 1,000 cu. m/d of oil equivalent, making it the first well of such productivity in the Wushi Sag area.
CNOOC Ltd. encountered a high yield well in the Wushi Sag area of Beibu Gulf offshore China, the company announced July 23.
The Wushi 16-5 structure sits in an average water depth of approximately 25 m. The WS16-5-4 appraisal well was drilled and completed at a depth of 4,185 m, encountering 65 m of oil pay zones.
The well was tested to produce over 1,000 cubic meters per day of oil equivalent. The discovery is expected to become a medium-sized oilfield.
With this discovery, the total proved oil in-place of the Wushi oilfields has exceeded 100 million cubic meters.
