Pipeline Revival Fuels Optimism in Coterra’s Marcellus Play

As talk of reviving the Constitution Pipeline heats up, Coterra is well-positioned to capitalize from its Marcellus gas assets in Pennsylvania, CEO Tom Jorden said at an investor conference.

A revived Marcellus-to-New England gas pipeline could reshape Coterra Energy’s trajectory in Appalachia.

With the Republican Trump administration back in office, the Constitution Pipeline project is back on the table. The 125-mile, 650 MMcf/d pipe would carry Marcellus gas from northeast Pennsylvania to a connection point near Albany, New York, boosting supply to demand centers in New England.

The controversial project was killed in 2020 after facing staunch opposition from New York state officials.
