ANPG Announces Bidding for 12 Blocks in Lower Congo, Kwanza Onshore Basins

The Angola National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels鈥� deadline for submitting proposals extends until Nov. 15.

Angola鈥檚 National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG) announced the start of the the bidding process for the award of oil concessions for the exploration of 12 blocks in the Lower Congo and Kwanza Onshore Basins on Oct. 6 in Luanda.

Companies that submit themselves to this competition will be selected based on proven demonstration of their suitability and technical and financial capabilities.

Of the 12 blocks up for tender, four are located in the Lower Congo Onshore Basin (CON 2, CON 3, CON 7 and CON 8), and eight in the Kwanza Onshore Basin (KON 1, KON 3, KON 7, KON 10, KON 13, KON 14, KON 15 and KON 19). The estimated potential of the blocks is 1560 MMbbl in the Lower Congo Basin and 5440 MMbbl in the Kwanza Basin.

The deadline for submitting proposals extends until Nov. 15 in compliance with the 40 days provided by law, and all national and foreign companies that are interested and capable of doing so can apply.
