Under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Engineer Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, the Oil Exploration Company completed the two-dimensional seismic survey program for Ziggurat-Uruk in the Muthanna and Diwaniyah governorates in record time.
During his visit to the Fourth Seismic Division today, Thursday, the company's General Manager, Mr. Osama Raouf Hussein, praised the great efforts made by the national cadres who completed the work in a record time, less than the planned period by (12) days, despite the technical and geographical challenges. The project was implemented ahead of the schedule specified in the implementation plan. The program was executed using the drilling method, with a completion rate of 104%.
The General Manager praised the high efficiency and professional discipline demonstrated by the workers at the work site, stressing that "this achievement represents an important milestone in the company's record of successes and reflects the distinguished capabilities of Iraqi competencies in implementing strategic projects with efficiency and competence." He added, "Completing the program according to the highest technical standards and in record time enhances the Ministry's confidence in national capabilities and opens the way for the implementation of new projects that contribute to supporting the national economy."
The Director General recognized the efforts of the employees by awarding shields of appreciation to the head of the seismic team and the heads of the technical and administrative divisions, and a letter of thanks and appreciation to all staff of the Fourth Seismic Team in recognition of their distinguished efforts and high professional commitment.
It is worth noting that the "Ziggurat-Uruk" program covered a work area of ??1,237.34 km in length, during which 24,792 energy points were recorded, thanks to exceptional field efforts by the Fourth Seismic Team, which was able to overcome the natural and geographical challenges at the work site.
The Director General was accompanied during the visit by the Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs and the directors of the relevant bodies and departments.
