Elixir Energy has completed the Teelba 2D seismic survey within ATP2057 in Queensland锟絪 Taroom Trough, delivering 225 km of modern high resolution data on schedule and on budget.
This marks the completion of a key work programme across the western Taroom Trough acreage, positioned on trend with the Lorelle-3/3H appraisal well and adjacent to active investment areas.
Highlights:
锟 225 km of modern high resolution 2D seismic acquired across ATP2057
锟 ~205.4 km collected within permit, with an additional 19.3 km to support imaging and tie-ins
锟 Survey located over prospective western Taroom Trough acreage, on trend with Lorelle-3/3H
锟 Data to support a potential new 2C contingent gas-condensate resource
锟 Programme delivered on schedule and on budget
We see this as a critical step in advancing subsurface understanding across the permit. The seismic was acquired along the western side of the Taroom Trough, immediately south of Shell锟絪 permit and primary investment area, and targeting the same Permian reservoir package observed in Lorelle-3/3H.
The data set will be integrated with existing well results and regional data to support resource definition. Importantly, prior drilling at Lorelle-3/3H demonstrated strong alignment between seismic interpretation and reservoir performance, supporting confidence in seismic-led targeting and geo-steering outcomes.
Processing of the seismic data is underway, with completion expected in approximately 6 weeks. Certain lines have been prioritised to support engagement with Sproule ERCE for potential booking of a new 2C Contingent Resource.
We have now also met the work requirements and permit commitments associated with the February 2025 farm-in with Santos, a key objective within Phase 1 of the company锟絪 strategic plan.
Next steps:
锟 Complete processing of Teelba 2D seismic data
锟 Integrate seismic with well and regional datasets
锟 Progress engagement with Sproule ERCE for potential 2C resource definition
锟 Continue advancing Phase 1 strategic objectives within ATP2057
This update provides further clarity on execution across the Taroom Trough portfolio, with seismic acquisition completed and the focus shifting toward data processing and resource definition.
