APA Corp. said Sockeye-2, located in Alaska’s eastern North Slope, was drilled to a depth of approximately 10,500 ft and averaged 2,700 bbl/d during the final flow period.
APA Corp.’s Sockeye-2 exploratory well in Alaska’s Brookian topset play averaged 2,700 bbl/d during the final flow testing period, according to an April 24 press release.
Sockeye-2, located in the 325,411-acre block of the state’s eastern North Slope, was drilled to a depth of approximately 10,500 ft.
The vertical well was completed in a single 25-ft interval at approximately 9,200 ft TVD without stimulation and the production test was achieved without artificial lift, APA said.
